A church is not a social club. It is a pillar and buttress of the truth. If your church refuses to speak on politics, it is not “neutral”—it is in rebellion. It has abandoned the duty to apply the Word of God to every sphere of human existence.

The Biblical Evaluation Guide

Use these three pillars to evaluate your local assembly:

1. Preaching: Is the Law of God preached to convict, and the Gospel preached to save? Does the pulpit shrink from “controversial” topics, or does it apply Scripture to the sin of the nation?
2. Confession: Does the church hold to a historic, Reformed confession? A church without a creed is a church without a spine.
3. Discipline: Does the church actually practice the keys of the Kingdom? A church that refuses to discipline its own members will inevitably fail to call the world to repentance.

A faithful church prepares you for the battle. A weak church prepares you for the grave.
